Yet another low-effort manifesto written by a depressed fuck at 2 am

1. Talent is a social construct

Talent is not what you think it is. Talent does not exist. No baby can sing an opera or draw the fucking Joconde when they are born. 

2. The tale of giftedness is the tale of the privileged

Talent is a tale told by the privileged, for the privileged. Art history is full of men whose art was exhibited by other men, overshadowing the work of female artists who have done amazing art.

3. The existence of the talented implies the existence of the lowly, non-gifted people

Giftedness only exists because competition between artists exists. But artists should never compete. They should interact with each others' art, and maybe even make out together for all I care.

The existence of the worthy of making art implies the existence of the unworthy of making art. And noone is unworthy of making art.

4. Giftedness is the privilege of time, passion and confidence

With no time, you cannot practice your art. With no confidence, you cannot practice your art. With no deep passion for your practice, you cannot master it so much that people will confuse it with giftedness.

Time, passion and confidence are the privilege of those who are not disabled, not traumatized, not depressed and not poor.

5. Giftedness is not a requirement for making art

Before doing amazing shit, any artist did ugly, shaky, uncertain shit. You can too.

6. Good art does not, in fact, exist

There is no such thing as good art. There is art that touches *your* soul, and art that does not. There is art that fucks up *your* mind, and art that doesn't. There is art that makes *you* smile, and art that doesn't.

7. Art is a basic human behavior

Making art is like pooping, eating or sleeping. Humans have been doing that since the beginning.

Just as much as there is no wrong way of sleeping or pooping, there is no wrong way of making art.

8. To preserve your deep humanity, you must make art

You read that right.

9. No, prompting an LLM doesn't count as making art

Dickhead.

10. Make art that is bad

By killing the fascist idea of giftedness and the idea of making good art, you can finally allow yourself to do bad shit and to not give a fuck.
